15 x 11 x 12cm ; 5.9 x 4.33 x 4.72 inches

Of a hen and chicks, decorated in gold red and black takamaki-e and hiramaki-e with detailed feathers, inlaid eyes, nashiji interior. Inscription on the base ‘Nihon Sato Seizo’ (made by Sato in Japan).
