An Imari ewer in Dutch silver shape

Japanese export circa 1730 AD.

Height: 28cm

The form is baroque and based on a Dutch silver example with scalloped rim and mouth, flat scrolling handle and a square hollow foot. The decoration is in green and red enamels with designs of flowers and birds in gilt.
