A porcelain dog seated on its haunches decorated in the Kakiemon palette

The dog sits foursquare with his two front legs straight and vertical, tail curled into a circle and head turned at right angles to the right with closed mouth. The porcelain is covered in an off white glaze and decorated with irregular patches in green, red and black enamels, the eyes glazed in yellow. A red collar encircles the neck.
