A pair of Chinese export porcelain horses

The two recumbent horses look to left and right respectively forming a true pair. Each is modelled with wide open eyes the pupils enamelled in glossy black, erect ears, open nostrils, broad upward sloping mouth revealing teeth, and a thick centre parted mane. Each is similarly decorated with fine hair work brush strokes in under glaze grisaille, and patches of iron red and white.
