Each decorated in Chinese style, although originally made in Europe, with gilt panels of flowering and fruiting plants, interspersed by lacquered scenes of men engaged in a variety of pursuits including hunting, pouring wine, carrying instruments and banners, the waisted stand with pierced ruyi designs is supported by five curled legs.
