RARE 'IMARI' BIDET WITH THE ROYAL FRANCH COAT-OF-ARMS

The porcelain bidet is painted in a ‘rose-imari’
palette - with baskets of fruit, lotus flowers
and chrysanthemums alternating with circular panels
containing symbolic fans. The flattened rim is
decorated with rouge-de-fer and gilt floral scroll
work, and the exterior with the coat-of-arms (those
of King Louis XV of France) encircled by the Orders
of Saint-Michael and Saint-Esprit to either end.
